Naren Kumar participates in ‘shakedown’ event
CHENNAI: Team Sidvin India driver Naren Kumar participated in a ‘shakedown’ event inside the Sapporo Dome in Hokkaido even as heavy snowfall curtailed stage 3/7 of the Rally of Japan.
“The shakedown made me feel as if I was in a NASCAR event on concrete,” he said.
Hopeful
Naren was also optimistic of a decent performance in the upcoming rally despite inclement weather.
“The stages are good, fast and flowing. There was some rain yesterday and a few stages are very muddy. Stage 3/7 also has some snow in a few places. It will be difficult if it rains further but I hope to have a good run here,” he said.
The rally begins on Friday.
