KOLLAM: The Indian National Trade Union Congress (INTUC) is launching a strong agitation to protest against the alleged failure of the State government to address the various issues of the people. State president of the INTUC R. Chandrashekaran said that as part of the agitation, rallies and dharnas will be held in all the 140 Assembly segments of the State in the evening on November 9. He said that the INTUC demands 60 years as the retirement age for all industrial workers. The State government should hike the pay for its employees so as to remain on par with the sixth Pay Commission recommendations for the Central government employees. —Staff Reporter
