Isha celebrates Deepavali with rural families

Staff Reporter

COIMBATORE: Residents of Isha, over 200 volunteers, and 35 children of Isha Samskriti celebrated Deepavali with the villagers of Dhanikandi, Madakkadu, Poluvampatti, Mullangkadu, and Semmedu.

Firecrackers and sweets were distributed to every house in these villages. The students of Isha Samskriti felt that sharing the firecrackers and sweets with the lesser-privileged children was a wonderful experience.

The multi-religious temple, Dhyanalinga, at the Isha Foundation, was decorated with 1,008 lamps. Cultural programmes such as dandiya, kathak, and kalari payattu were performed.
