Get ready to groove

Bangalore: Find those dancing shoes and get ready to groove. Smriti Nandan Cultural Centre will host the World Dances Workshop on Saturdays in November.

Raquel Lemos, a Portuguese dance lover, teacher and performer, will teach participants and guide them through the rhythms and dancing styles (Spanish, Latin American, North American, Brazilian and African styles) of three continents. The workshop for children will be conducted between 2 p.m. and 3.15 p.m., while for adults it will be from 3.15 p.m. and 4.45 p.m.. Registrations for the workshop are open.

Another programme, titled “Fusion of song and colour”, will showcase a presentation of Ragamala paintings coupled with a rendition of corresponding ragas by Sampada Bhat Maraballi and his Troupe on Friday at 6.30 p.m.
