KSDL declares dividend
BANGALORE: The Karnataka Soaps and Detergents Limited, a Government of Karnataka undertaking, for the first time since its incorporation in 1980, declared a dividend of Rs. 2.7 crore as State Government’s share and will hand over a cheque to Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa on Thursday. According to a press release issued here on Wednesday , during 2007-08 the company achieved a turnover of Rs. 162 crore and earned a net profit of Rs. 8.82 crore.
The company had accumulated losses of Rs. 99 crore by the end of March 1994 and it had wiped off the entire carry forward loses by March 2003 and by March 31 this year, the net worth of the company stood at Rs. 43 crore, the press release added. — Staff Reporter
