Stray dog attacks 18 children

ATTUR: Eighteen children in Vazhapadi sustained injuries after a stray dog attacked them on Monday.

The children in Agraharam, Manickam Street and a few nearby areas were bursting crackers when a stray dog chased them. The dog bit 18 children causing serious injuries to a few of them. Parents rushed the children to the Vazhapadi Primary Health Centre. Three children, who sustained serious injuries, were referred for further treatment to Salem Government Medical College Hospital. Meanwhile, residents in the area caught the stray dog and stoned it to death. — Staff Reporter
