Striving to nurture young talents

Under new leadership: K.N.K.Arumugam, right, of Pudukottai being installed as zone vice-president of J.C.I.
PUDUKOTTAI: Former president of Junior Chamber International (JCI), Pudukottai Central, K. N. K. Arumugham, was recently installed as Zone vice-president of the JCI India at a zonal conference held at Marthandam in Kanyakumari district recently.
He will be in-charge of the JCI units functioning in Pudukottai, Sivaganga, Ramanathapuram, Virudhunagar, Tuticorin, Tirunelveli, Kanyakumari, Virudunagar, Madurai, Theni and Dindigul districts. Speaking on the occasion, he said he would strive hard to encourage and nurture the talents of the youths towards nation-building process.
A number of JCI units were honoured with awards and certificates in appreciation of their services rendered during the last year. The Junior Chamber of Pudukottai Central won the ‘Outstanding special project’ award in recognition of its co-ordination for a serial ‘Agada Vigadam’ telecast through the Raj TV.
A noted writer, Y.S. Rajan, who was the chief guest, appreciated the efforts of the JCI in moulding the character of the future citizens of our country.
The former presidents of JCI, S. Azhagappan; G. Sundararajan and R. Sundararaman were among those who offered felicitations.
