Competitions for schoolchildren

CHENNAI: Various competitions for schoolchildren will be organised shortly by the Tamil Nadu Jawahar Children’s Club in Chennai district.

The competitions in Chennai will be organised on October 31 and November 1 at Government Music College, Raja Annamalaipuram by the Department of Arts and Culture. While dance competition will be held on October 31 at 9.30 a.m., vocal music and painting competitions will be conducted on November 1.

School students will be categorised according to their age group - five to eight, nine to 12 and 13 to 16 years to participate in the competitions. The annual cultural event is conducted by the Club to showcase the inherent talent of the children. For details, call 24618162.
