Rangers overcomes Bagalkote
BANGALORE: Rangers HC weathered a resurgent Bagalkote 3-2 in a State ‘C’ division hockey league encounter at the KSHA stadium here on Tuesday.
Gerard Dennis gave Rangers the lead in the 12th minute but in the very next minute Yogesh levelled the scores with a crisp drive onto the boards. Nadan Kumar and Nicholas struck to give Rangers a healthy lead even though Mahantesh scored a late goal to reduce the margin.
BCYA and Jain College registered big wins over SPG and Friends, respectively.
The results: BCYA 4 (Bharat, Sommaiah, Pratik, Anand) bt SPG 1 (Kiran); Jain College 6 (K.P. SOmmanna 2, Chengapppa, Pambavasam, Dhillon, Kariappa) bt Friends 0.
