Honeywell focusses on residential segment

Special Correspondent

NEW DELHI: Eyeing fast growing Indian security market, leading safety and security equipment manufacturer and solutions provider Honeywell is now focussing on residential market besides consolidating its presence in the corporate and industrial segment.

After studying the domestic market, the U.S.-based company is also designing India-specific products and solutions.

Talking to The Hindu, Deepak Thakur, Director, Security, South Asia, Honeywell Security & Data Collection, said: “The Indian safety and security market as a whole is growing at 25 per cent annually, while the growth of residential sector is well over a huge 50 per cent; and the reason behind it is the growing needs and requirements of people for safety and security in the changed global and domestic scenario.”

Early this year, Honeywell opened a new manufacturing plant at Gurgaon in Haryana for its system sensor and analytics divisions.
