Erode
ERODE: Tamil Nadu State Marketing Corporation (TASMAC), the only liquor retailer in the State, is on a new high after Deepavali. The Erode arm of TASMAC, a State Government organisation, has sold liquor worth Rs. 3.60 crore on October 27. The sale is Rs. 40 lakh more than last Deepavali. Sources add that through its 328 outlets in the district, TASMAC sells liquor anywhere between Rs. 32 crore and Rs. 34 crore a month.
