ERODE: A motorcycle rider and pillion rider were killed when a lorry hit their vehicle near Pattanur Naal Road on Sunday. According to the Velli Tirupur Police, the incident happened when R. Appusamy (65), of Ennamangalam and S. Mahendran (21), were near the junction. The lorry hit their two-wheeler from the rear. In the impact of the collision, the police said, they sustained severe injuries and died on the way to the Anthiyur Government Hospital. A case has been registered.
