Agriculture graduates seek better working conditions

They want pay parity with veterinary doctors and physicians

ERODE: Agriculture graduates affiliated to the Tamil Nadu Arasu Velanmai Pattadharigal Sangam has urged the State Government for better working conditions.

In a release they have asked the Government to treat agriculture graduates on a par with veterinary doctors and physicians and ensure pay parity.

They have also asked for pay parity for joint director of agriculture, the senior-most officer in a district in agriculture, with joint directors of other departments.

Further, the graduates have asked the government for promotions every eight years.

Promotion

They have said that for the past 25 years, many graduates in the agriculture department have not had a promotion.
