Child dies

ATTUR: A two-and-half-year-old female child died when steaming sambar spilled on her near here on Monday.

The police said Karthika, daughter of Selvakumar, was lying on the floor next to the stove when a pot of samabar spilled on her. The child sustained serious burns and was rushed to Attur Government Hospital, where she succumbed. A case was registered.
