Constitute HC Benches

I thank the State government and Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy for establishing a university in each district. It will be nice if the government also makes efforts to constitute a High Court Bench in every district headquarters. If it is not possible, the government could make an appeal to start High Court Benches in every region.

It will help the people from distant places like Srikakulam and Chittoor to cut their expenditure on travel and time. Overcrowding of twin cities will also be lessened to a certain extent.

Naidu’s opportunism?

It must be remembered that N. T. Rama Rao founded the Telugu Desam Party with sole objective of unified Andhra Pradesh. Unfortunately, N. Chandrababu Naidu, who till recently could not tolerate uttering the very word Telangana, is now playing a second fiddle with his former bete noire K. Chandrasekhara Rao, who accused Mr. Naidu of using the choicest epithets and dubbed TDP as Telangana Drohula Party. Mr. Naidu could have taken measures to remove regional imbalances during his rule. Now he is raising voice in favour of Telangana. Is this not opportunism?

Provide better berths

There was a hue and cry over the side-middle berth when South Central Railway (SCR) Vijayawada division officials inspected trains that were passing through Vijayawada. They protested against the side-middle berths that were introduced by the railways recently. I think their protest is genuine, adding the side-middle berth the space of the side-upper berth has become so less a stout person cannot enter to go inside and lie down. I sincerely hope that the Railway Minister will look into these aspects of rail compartments and take a humanly approach.

Garib Rath timings

The railways announced as a Diwali gift a tri-weekly Garib Rath train will be introduced from Secunderabad to Visakhapatnam and vice versa. It’s really a worthy gift in all aspects, but rail users from the Vijayawada city, a biggest rail junction, are not destined to enjoy the facilities as the train on both directions passes in the middle of night, at about 2 a.m. Hence, the railway authorities are requested to suitably change the timings so that commuters of Vijayawada city can travel by Garib Rath and avail the facilities.

Payment of bills

The staffers at e-Seva kendram located at Patamata are not accepting electricity bills of Prasadampadu area. They say they will not take electricity bills as there was a change in the numbers related to those bills. Hence, the electricity authorities should take steps to ensure that there is no confusion in the matter.
