Rajagiri, Don Bosco enter boys’ semifinals

KOCHI: Rajagiri HSS, Kalamasserry, along with Don Bosco HSS (Irinjalakuda) entered the boys’ semifinals of the 23rd Fr. Francis Sales all-Kerala inter-school basketball tournament at the Rajagiri HSS floodlit basketball stadium on Sunday.

In the girls’ section, Rajagiri Public School (Kalamasserry) will take on Campion Public School (Edapally) in the final.

The results (basketball): Boys’ quarterfinals: Don Bosco HSS, Irinjalakuda 50 (Rahul 11) bt Don Bosco HSS, Puthupally 20 (Amal 11); Rajagiri HSS, Kalamasserry 59 (Arun Raveendran 23, John Rajan 17, Akhil Raj 10) bt St. Joseph’s HSS, Pavaratty 51 (Benson 18, Anoof 18).

Pre-quarterfinals: Don Bosco, Ijk 45 (Amit Sebastian 10) bt SH HSS, Thevara 25; St. Thomas HSS, Pala-60 (P.S. Abhilash 16, Drisson Joy 14, Akhil Joseph 12) bt Girideepam Bethany, Kottayam 41 (Akash Sabu 13).

Girls’ semifinals: Rajagiri PS, Kalamassery 32 bt Toc-H PS, Vytilla 27 (Sneha P. Bijoy 13); Campion PS, Edapally 14 bt Rajagiri HSS, Kalamasserry 3.
