Three killed in cracker blast

KAKINADA: Two women M. Lakshmi (55) and S. Lakshmi (36) were killed on the spot and another unidentified person succumbed to injuries following explosion of crackers in a house at Vetlapalem village in Samalkot mandal on Sunday. At least five more were seriously injured and are undergoing treatment in the Government General Hospital at Kakinada. The house which was attached to a shop belonging to one P Haribabu, who fled from the spot after the mishap. – Staff Reporter
