No shortage of coal: TNEB

CHENNAI: The Tamil Nadu Electricity Board (TNEB) has said that four thermal power plants in the State were having adequate coal.

In a press release here on Sunday, the TNEB said that there was no threat of power generation being stopped due to coal shortage as all measures were taken to ensure its adequate supply.

Compared to figures last year, an additional 639 million units had been generated in the last five months, which proved that power generation in thermal plants had not been affected, the release said. — Staff Reporter
