Man beaten to death

VILLUPURAM: Jayaraman (70), a resident of Kolathur near here, was allegedly beaten to death on Saturday night.

The police have secured S. Radha (60) of Kolathur in this connection. They said that Jayaraman was living with S. Subramani (50). They happened to be neighbours of Radha and Sivakumar.

The two families would share the electricity bill . However, Mr. Subramani failed to pay the bills for the past few months and this led to altercation on Saturday. Radha and Sivakumar struck Jayaraman on his head using pipes and wooden rods.
