Mass marriages for Muslims

VIZIANAGARAM: Applications for mass marriages of poor Muslim women will be received at the District Revenue Office and tehsildar offices up to November 5. Women having white ration card and who is willing to avail themselves of the opportunity can collect applications from the Minority Cell in the Collector’s office and submit them along with affidavits obtained from Imams.

The government would spend Rs.15,000 on each couple for the marriage, according to an official release.
