Yesudas to start music school

Asks Yeddyurappa to allot a site for the school

Meeting: Singer Yesudas with Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa in Bangalore on Sunday.

BANGALORE: Veteran singer Yesudas, who enthralled millions of connoisseurs, cinema goers and devotees all over the world by his melodious voice, is starting a music school in the guru-shishya parampara in the city.

Mr. Yesudas, who is also vice-chairman of the Sri Rama Seva Mandali, Chamarajpet, met Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa along with its chairman A. Ravindra and made a representation to him seeking allotment of a site to start the school.

Mandali secretary Prasad was present.

After the meeting, Mr. Yeddyurappa told reporters that he had asked the Commissioner of the Bangalore Development Authority to allot a suitable site to Mr. Yesudas for realising his dream of starting a centre for teaching and training Bangaloreans in classical music.
