State urged to take up Kanthalally LI project
ETURUNAGARAM (WARANGAL DT.): The Telangana Rashtra Samiti demanded for the immediate launch of the Kanthalally lift irrigation project in order to utilise the Godavari river waters.
The party has also demanded the State government to immediately halt the Dummugudem project as it would result in illegal diversion of Godavari waters to the other regions.
The MP stated that the government ordered a survey for the Kanthalapally lift irrigation project through which it is possible to lift at least 100 tmc of water and supplement the SRSP by 50 tmc.
