Local Bodies Day to be observed

KARUR: Local bodies in Karur district have been advised to celebrate November 1 as Local Bodies Day as per the instructions received from the Commissioner of Rural Development and Panchayat Raj, Chennai.

Placards displaying the activities of the local body, pamphlets listing the achievements, various welfare measures and development activities should be displayed in the jurisdiction of the panchayats, a press release issued by the Collector T.N. Venkatesh said .
