GANNAVARAM: Hyderabad’s Boys Town High School lifted the football title for the senior boys defeating Vijayawada’s NSM Public School 4-1 on the penultimate day of the 30th National Montfort sports and games at St. John’s Higher Secondary School here on Friday. Ali Bin Hassan of Boys Town outfit was the star performer with three goals. The fourth goal was scored by Ahmed. NSM’s goal was scored by Joy Darshan. In volleyball, Montfort, Gopalapuram, defeated NSM Public School, Vijayawada, 25-11, 25-15, 25-20 and St John’s High School, Gannavaram, outplayed Montfort, Nagpur, 25-22, 25-3, 25-1 to enter the final in the junior girls section. The results: Football: Boys (seniors) final: Boys Town (Hyd) 4 (Ali Bin Hassan 3, Ahmed 1) bt NSMPS (Vij) 1 (Joy Darshan). Juniors (semifinals): St Thomas HS (Nuzvid) bt MHS (Khammam) 1-0, All Saint HS (Hyd) bt St John’s (Gannavaram) 2-0. Volleyball: Boys (Juniors) semifinals: MHS (Gopalapuram) bt St. John’s Gannavaram) 24-13, 25-11, 25-12, MHS (Nagpur) bt VVHS (Mattampally) 25-14, 25-4, 25-13). Girls (Juniors) semifinals: MHS (Gopalapuram) bt NMSPS (Vij) 25-11, 25-15, 25-20, St. John’s (Gannavaram) bt MHS (Nagpur) 25-11, 25-3, 25-1) Athletics (winners only): Senior boys: 400m: B.
