CRPF, BSF share honours

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and Border Security Force (BSF) shared the team honours in the all-India police cross-country race held here on Friday.

In the 12km-even, CRPF topped the table with 25 points ahead of BSF (30) and Uttar Pradesh (36), while in the 4km-event, BSF turned the tables on its arch-rival with 13 points. CRPF was second with 38 points and Maharashtra third with 50 points.

The results:

12km race: Team: 1. CRPF (25 points), 2. BSF (30), 3. Uttar Pradesh (36).

Individual: 1. Ajayakumar (UP), 37:31.0, 2. B. Madhusoodhanan (CRPF), 37:39.0, 3. K. Upender (CRPF), 38:06.0.

4km race: Team: 1. BSF (13), 2. CRPF (38), 3. Maharashtra (50).

Individual: 1. R.B. Subba (BSF), 12:14.0, 2. Ravindra Rautela (Uttarakhand), 12:17.0, 3. Ravinder Singh (BSF), 12:19.0. — Special Correspondent
