Petrol pump vandalised

Thiruvananthapuram: A petrol pump, near Vazhayila here, was reportedly attacked by a group of men on Thursday night. According to pump owner Sreekandan Nair, a group of around eight men, who arrived in a goods autorickshaw, vandalised the petrol pump and fled with the cash bag after beating up a staff member. He said the bag contained Rs.5,000.

“The boy who was carrying the bag was attacked. It was a rainy day and the collection was low. The money was last counted at 8 p.m.,” Mr. Nair said. — Staff Reporter
