Minister holds review meeting

Thiruvananthapuram: Public Works Department (PWD) officials have blamed the lack of understanding between PWD and Kerala Water Authority (KWA) officials as the prime reason for the damaged state of roads in the city.

At a meeting convened by Works Minister Mons Joseph here recently, they said that KWA officials were cutting and opening pits on the road without prior communication. Trenching of roads for laying pipes under the Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC) project was also damaging roads in the city. — Staff Reporter
