Sahil scalps six

Mumbai: Seamer Sahil Madgaonkar’s six for 32 helped Vijay Manjrekar XI trounce Dattu Phadkar by 146 runs in the opening league match of the 23rd Sportstar Trophy Mumbai Cricket Association under-19 selection trial tournament on Friday. Manjrekar XI gained four points.

In the other match at the Elf-Vengsarkar CA Ground ,Oval, Khandu Rangnekar XI recovered from 45 for five to 253 for nine in its second innings, with first innings stars Siddhesh Kinlekar (61) and Bhushan Shinde (55) adding 99 for the sixth wicket in 36.2 overs.

The scores: Vijay Manjrekar XI 274 and 294 (Saurabh Randive 84, Sumit Gadigaonkar 84, Nadeem Mehndi four for 77) bt Dattu Phadkar XI 280 and 142 (Kaustabh Pawar 59, Sahil Madgaonkar six for 32).

Khandu Rangnekar XI 229 and 253 for nine (Siddhesh Kinlekar 61, Bhushan Shinde 55, Virendra Morya 51 batting, Pratik Gawli four for 65) vs Vijay Merchant XI 157.
