Don Bosco triumphs
KOCHI: The host Don Bosco Senior Secondary School defeated St. Joseph’s, Pattanakad, 2-0 and won the fifth all-Kerala ICSE-ISE inter-school football tournament at Vaduthala on Friday.
Earlier in the semifinals, Don Bosco defeated Kalabhavan (Kakkanad) 1-0, while St. Joseph’s blanked International (Thiruvananthapuram) 2-0.
Don Bosco’s Akash Pradeep was adjudged the tournament’s best player and K.S. Sanoop the best defender, while St. Joseph’s Jijith Jimmy was named best goalkeeper.
