Modern and Bal Bharati win a title each
NEW DELHI: Host Modern School defeated Bal Bharati School, Noida, 3-0 in the final of the under-18 section in the Modernites inter-school hockey tournament at the Modern School ground, Barakhamba Road, here on Friday.
Kanav, Pushkar and Tanmesh scored the goals for the champion team.
However, in the under-15 final, Bal Bharati Public School, Pitampura, defeated Modern School 2-1. Akash and Divij scored for the winner, while Makand Sehgal scored for the host.
Rahul Lohani of Bal Bharati Public School, Pitampura, and Vignesh of Bal Bharati School, Noida, were adjudged the ‘best goalkeepers’ in the under-15 and under-18 sections respectively.
The chief coach of the Indian women’s hockey team, M.K. Kaushik was the chief guest and presented the prizes.
