Badshahs makes it a no-contest

Ahmedabad: Lahore Badshahs stamped its class with an emphatic eight-wicket victory over Mumbai Champs in the Indian Cricket League match at the Sardar Patel Stadium here on Thursday night.

The Lahore Badshahs’ batsmen lit up the Ahmedabad skies with a dazzling array of shots while chasing Mumbai Champs’ 140.

It was Lahore Badshah’s second victory from four matches while Mumbai Champs continue to scrape the bottom with its fourth consecutive loss.

The match also concluded the ICL’s Ahmedabad leg.

The scores: Mumbai Champs 140 for five in 20 overs (Dheeraj Jadhav 57, Taufeeq Umar 41, Tahir Mughal three for 28) lost to Lahore Badshahs 141 for two in 13.2 overs (Imran Nazir 83 n.o., Inzamam ul Haq 27 n.o., Imran Farhat 21). — K.C. Vijaya Kumar
