NEW DELHI: The Bharatiya Janata Party on Friday objected to the use of the phrase “Hindu terrorism” by members in Parliament on Thursday when they spoke about the alleged involvement of the Bajrang Dal, the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad and other Hindutva forces in the terrorist attacks in Malegaon in Maharashtra. “We do not link terrorism with any religion. But yesterday’s [Thursday’s] events [in Parliament] would have us believe that the entire Hindu community was being assailed as several MPs talked about Hindu terrorism,” senior BJP leader Yashwant Sinha said here. “If some people from some organisations have been arrested in connection with acts of terrorism, let the law take its course. We are not demanding an inquiry like some other people are,” he added, referring to the demand for a judicial probe into the police raid on Batla House, Jamia Nagar following the terrorist attack in Mehrauli, Delhi.
