Plastic ban at Erumeli

Thiruvananthapuram: A ban on plastic materials has been imposed at Erumeli and surrounding areas from November 16 to January 20. A decision to this effect was taken at a meeting held under the chairmanship of the District Collector in connection with the Sabarimala festival. Pilgrims and others who bring plastic materials to the banned area should take the material back with them.

Shops in Erumeli have been asked not to use plastic materials for packing food items.
