Water level

MADURAI: The water level in the Periyar dam on Wednesday stood at 125.10 feet (full level 136 feet) with an inflow of 5,736 cusecs and a discharge of 1,387 cusecs.

The level in the Vaigai dam was 60.30 feet (71 feet) with an inflow of 8,466 cusecs and a discharge of 41 cusecs. The combined Periyar credit stood at 5,076 mcft.

The Periyar Dam recorded a rainfall of 37 mm, Tekkadi 43 mm, Gudalur 11 mm, Shanmuganadi 37 mm, Uthamapalayam 55 mm, Veerapandi 55 mm, Melur 54 mm, Vaigai dam 30 mm, Manjular dam 50 mm, Marudanathi 150 mm, Sothuparai 65 mm, Peranai 83.8 mm, Andipatti 150 mm, Madurai 138.5 mm, Sathiyar Dam 90 mm, Mettupatti 131 mm, Kallandhiri 93.4 mm, Sittampatti 81 mm, Pulipatti 72 mm, Thaniyamangalam 73 mm, Edayapatti 130 mm.
