BANGALORE: Karnataka snatched an exciting one wicket victory over Kerala in the Col. C.K. Nayudu South Zone under-22 cricket tournamenon Wednesday. Set a victory target of 172, Karnataka scrambled home, despite losing wickets at regular intervals as M.E. Sanuth (seven wickets for 61 runs) struck. Tamil Nadu scored a comprehensive 10 wicket victory over Andhra in another match. Rain spoiled the victory march of Goa against Hyderabad. The scores: Andhra 109 in 39 overs and 196 in 62.1 overs (Bharath Reddy 72 n.o.) lost to Tamil Nadu 216 in 85.2 overs and 93 for no loss in 28.1 overs (Prashanth Ram Kumar 61 n.o.). Kerala 165 in 61 overs and 234 in 77.2 overs lost to Karnataka 228 in 92.1 overs and 172 for nine in 52.2 overs (Dhananjaya Murari 57 n.o. M.E. Sanuth seven for 61). Hyderabad 195 in 86.1 overs and 81 in 43.3 overs (Ravindra Rawat four for 13, Badal Singh four for 48) drew with Goa 182 in 85.2 overs and 80 for five in 35 overs. — Special Correspondent
