C.V. Rao’s team wins
VISAKHAPATNAM: C.V. Rao’s team won the Dr. Lingam Suryanarayana Trophy and a cash prize of Rs.1 lakh, beating S.R. Bhattacharya’s team in the final of team of four duplicate event in the all-India Grand Prix open bridge tournament conducted by the Waltair Club here.
S.P. Ghose and C.S. Mojumdar picked up the Saraf Trophy for winning the master pair’s event.
Alok Daga and Mrinal Mukherjee were runner-up.
Bhattacharya-Swarnendu Banarjee, V. Ramachandra Rao-A. Narayana Rao, K. Karunakara Reddy-C.V. Rao and S. Rajagopala Rao-C.D. Kumar pairs finished second, third, fourth and fifth runners-up respectively.
