Intervening in brawl proves costly

NEW DELHI: A young computer operator had to pay with his life for intervening in a brawl outside his house at Bindapur here on Monday.

According to the police, two neighbours of Anand had an altercation which turned violent. When Anand returned home at night, he found the two groups fighting and tried to pacify them. But members of one of the groups attacked him with lathis and sharp-edged weapons. He sustained serious injuries and was taken to Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Hospital where doctors pronounced him dead.
