VISAKHAPATNAM: Karnataka picked up its second successive bonus point, outplaying Kerala by 89 runs with off-spinner Karun Nair scalping six wickets in the South Zone under-19 Vinoo Mankad Trophy here on Tuesday. Tamil Nadu beat defending champion Andhra by six wickets and secured a bonus point. Off-spinner Joel Joseph’s five-wicket haul followed by 145-run stand opening stand between L. Suryaprakash (84, 11x4) and Abhinav Mukund (72, 6x4) helped the team. Last year’s runner-up Hyderabad beat Goa by 29 runs to record its second successive win. The scores: Andhra 194 in 49.1 overs (G. Chiranjeevi 50, T.K. Ganesh Kumar 43, Joel Joseph five for 38) lost to Tamil Nadu 197 for four in 39 overs (L. Suryaprakash 84, Abhinav Mukund 72). (Tamil Nadu 5 pts, Andhra -1).
