Tamil Nadu teams in final

BANGALORE: Tamil Nadu women romped into the final of the 50th South Zone basketball championship.

At the Vijayanagara BC courts at Hospet on Tuesday, Tamil Nadu women proved too good for Kerala winning 52-35.

Tamil Nadu men too made it to the final defeating defending champion Andhra 66-36 in the semifinals.

The results: Semifinals: Men): Tamil Nadu 66 (Lokesh Yadav 13, Vinodh 10) bt AP 36 (Velayudhan 10, Irfan 10).

Women: Tamil Nadu 52 (Geethu Anna Jose 26, Sunitha Suren 13) bt Kerala 35 (Sonip Joseph 15, Lizzy 10).
