Award for jurist

KOTTAYAM: V.R. Krishna Iyer, former Supreme Court judge, has been selected for this year’s Parumala Mar Gregorios Award. The award, instituted in the name of St. Gregorios of Parumala on the occasion of the golden jubilee of his canonisation last year, carries a purse of Rs.10,001, citation and memento. The award instituted by the Mar Gregorios Study Forum is accorded on the basis of a person’s comprehensive contribution to the society.
