SALEM: The Corporation has begun laying a pipeline, at a cost of Rs 46.50 lakh, to supply drinking water to wards 58, 59 and 60 in Seelanaickanpatti. The old pipeline supplying water to these wards needed replacement. A new alignment will be followed for laying the new pipeline due to expansion of the National Highways 7, a release said. People in Seelanaickanpatti, Uthumalai, Talamalai Nagar, Annamalai Nagar, EB Colony, MGR Nagar, Kanchi Nagar, Selva Nagar, Chinnasamy Nagar, Mariamman Temple Road, Govindammal Nagar, Alagu Nagar and Samiappa Nagar will benefit.
