Somdev-Healy in final
New Delhi: Somdev Dev Varman and Nathan Healy halted giant-killers Brian and Dan Battistone’s run in the semifinals to storm into the summit clash of the $50,000 Calabasas Challenger tennis event in California, USA.
Somdev and his Australian partner, who had entered the main draw of the doubles event as qualifiers, defeated the American pair 2-6, 6-4, 10-8.

Meanwhile, Ankita Bhambri faltered at the final step, losing the title clash to 3-6, 6-2, 3-6 Tamaryn Hendler of Belgium in the $25,000 ITF event in Lagos, Nigeria. — PTI
