Somdev-Healy in final

New Delhi: Somdev Dev Varman and Nathar Healy halted giant-killers Brian and Dan Battiston’s run in the semifinals to storm into the summit clash of the $50,000 Calabasas Challenger tennis event in California, USA.

Somdev and his Australian partner, who had entered the main draw of the doubles event as qualifier, defeated the American pair 2-6, 6-4, 10-8.

The Batisttons had stunned the top seeds in the first round.

Somdev-Healy pair will now fight it out with the second seeded Serbian pair of Llia Bozoljac and Dusan Vemic.
