Traffic arrangements for Patriarch meeting

KOCHI: The police have directed that all buses, which will take the faithful to the public meeting at Marine Drive in connection with the public meeting of Ignatius Zakka I, Patriarch of the Jacobite Syrian Church, should be parked at the parking lots between the second and third Goshree bridges on Sunday.

All cars, light vehicles and motorbikes should be parked at the reclaimed land at the eastern side of the Goshree bridges.

Vehicles that enter the city from the western side after 3.30 p.m. should move along M.G. Road and those from the northern side should move along Palarivattom-Madhava Pharmacy Road to High Court junction.

These vehicles should also proceed to the Goshree bridge area for parking.

Curbs on lorries

Tipper lorries will not be allowed to enter the city from 12 noon to 10 p.m. on Sunday.

The city buses that are to operate in the Boat jetty-Menaka route should operate along M.G. Road from 2 p.m. on Sunday.
