KOCHI: The 23rd All India Postal Cultural Meet will be held at the Alpha Pastoral Center, Edakochi, from October 18 to 22. Announcing this at a press conference held here on Friday, Shobha Koshy, Postmaster General, Central Region, said that 310 participants from 18 postal circles from across the country would take part in the meet. K.S. Radhakrishnan, Vice-Chancellor of the Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit, Kalady, will inaugurate the meet at 10 a.m. Uday Balakrishnan, Chief Postmaster General, Kerala, will preside over the function. K. Noorjahan, Member, Central Administrative Tribunal, will be the chief guest at the valedictory function to be held on October 22 at 5 p.m. The meet was coming to the State for the second time after a gap of 10 years. Kerala will have the most number of participants. Short plays in different languages and mono act competitions will also be held. Faculty members from the Kalady Sankaracharya University and RLV College Thripunithura will be judges. Mariamma Thomas, Director of Postal Services, Central Region, and Mervin Alexander, Director of Postal Services (HQ) also attended the press meet.
