Panel to look into problems of tyagis

Special Correspondent

HYDERABAD: Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy on Friday promised to appoint a committee to look into the problems of freedom fighters.

He was responding to a suggestion by veteran freedom fighter Konda Laxman Bapuji at the 84th birthday celebrations of Governor N.D. Tiwari at the Jubilee Hall.

Mr. Bapuji earlier presided over a meeting of freedom fighters at the same venue where their problems were discussed. Mr. Tiwari said that he had developed so much of fondness for the State that he wished to breathe his last here. The people of the State had given him enough love and respect.
