JMC in semifinals

NEW DELHI: Jesus and Mary College defeated Bawana Stadium Coaching Centre 25-11, 25-13, 25-23 to move into the women’s semifinals of the Delhi State volleyball championship at the Mini Stadium, Alipur, on Friday.

Janaki Devi Memorial College, Jaunti Club and Nawada Club were the other teams to make the semifinals in the women’s section.

The results: Men: Vivekanand Club bt Dabas Club 25-17, 20-25, 15-12; BSES bt SU Block ‘B’ 25-17, 25-14; CRPF bt Shining Club 25-9, 25-8; Raj Rifles bt LIC 25-14, 25-20; Aryan Club bt MTNL 25-3, 25-11; Dhaka Club bt Mehlwal Club 25-20, 25-20; Northern Railway bt New Delhi Club 25-20, 25-21.

Women: Janaki Devi Memorial College bt Kamala Nehru College 25-6, 25-12, 25-9; Nawada Club bt Bharti Mahila College 25-12, 25-11, 25-8; Jaunti Club bt Laxmibai College 25-23, 25-16, 25-16; Jesus and Mary College bt Bawana Stadium Coaching Centre 25-11, 25-13, 25-23.
