KSP in last four

BANGALORE: Karnataka State Police (KSP) and Jindal Steel Works advanced into the semifinals of the State Association Cup volleyball championship here. KSP topped group ‘A’ with an all-win record after overcoming a fighting CIL 23-25, 25-17, 25-21, 25-18.

In group ‘B’, MEG too inched closer to a berth in the last four after defeating Postal 25-19, 34-32, 25-21.

In the four team women’s section, Vidyanagar Sports Hostel downed BMS College 28-26, 25-18, 25-21 late on Thursday but against a better equipped Mysore Sports Hostel on Friday the Vidyanagar girls came a cropper despite winning the first game as Mysore SH won 24-26, 25-12, 25-16, 25-14.
