Phil Jacques to return home
Mohali: Opener Phil Jacques, a member of the Australian cricket team, will fly back home soon due to a persistent back injury.
He has been advised by Cricket Australia (CA) to tend to his fitness concerns before returning to the game. The Australian team physiotherapist, Alex Kountouris, said: “Phil (Jacques) has had a long standing problem with his lower back that has been manageable up until now. The point has come where the injury is significantly limiting his ability to play, so he will return to Australia to seek specialist opinion on the best course of action.”
Jacques has not played any first class match during the tour and Simon Katich has taken his role.
