Lankan flavour for South Zone basketball

BANGALORE: Sri Lanka men and women’s team provide an international flavour to the South Zone basketball championship that is all set to get underway at the Vijayanagara Basketball Club, Hospet, from Saturday.

The six teams, Tamil Nadu, Andhra, Kerala, Puducherry, Sri Lanka and Karnataka will be divided into two groups with the top two teams making it to the semifinals. The finals are slated for October 22.

The groupings: Men: Pool A: Andhra, Karnataka, Puducherry. Pool B: Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Sri Lanka.

Women: Pool A: Karnataka, Puducherry, TN. Pool B: Kerala, Andhra, Sri Lanka.
